Orlando Jobs Down, But Strongest Economy

After having the lowest unemployment rate in the nation and in Florida, it is calculated Orlando lost jobs in 2007. Despite lower numbers Orlando has one of the strongest economies in Florida and economists say this strength balances out the weaker areas. We have strong tourism and healthcare economy and these areas are experiencing continued growth, not seen in northern cities.
